Whoosh! We're back with another Daily Buzz. Today we're going to take a look at an architecture lesson put together by some Learning Bee students. Are you ready?

Here we go!

Step 1: Find fabric, chairs and tables.

Step 2: Put the sheets on the tables and chairs.

Step 3: Presto! It's a fort.

Step 4: Smile!

It's the ultimate hide and seek technique!

Of course, we have to wait until everyone is done with their activities before we claim the tables for this. It wouldn't be very secret if someone was doing work on top of it.

Thanks for stopping by, and see you again soon!

First Grade and Kindergarten are here to welcome you to another edition of the Daily Buzz.

Here we are starting our morning camp activities. Looks like it's going to be another sunny day!

"Daily Buzz, I have a question."
"Yes, thank you for raising your hand."
"May we have a great sunshiny day?"
"Yes. Absolutely!"

Sounds like a plan to us- just don't forget to eat a healthy lunch and drink plenty of water!

It was desert diorama day, how delightful. After desert day we added an ocean on ocean day. Living in California means we live close to all sorts of ecosystems, including some of the hottest, driest deserts in the world.

It's the desert of the day! Wow, awesome job!

Hope we don't get lost in that one without sunscreen and a bottle of water. If it gets too hot in the desert we can always go take a dip in the ocean next door.

Thanks for stopping by for another Daily Buzz. See you soon!
Hi everyone! We wanted to buzz by with another Summer update.

We've been learning a whole bunch about chess this Summer. We're learning how to get out of a pickle here. King to L-B!

"Does anyone know how to get check in 3 moves?" he asked. We wanted to go for a Sicilian Gambit but we learned a different way this time.

Dodgeball. It's a game of skill, endurance and lighting reflexes. We also learned the most important rule in the game- don't get hit!

Morning sports camp is helping us get in shape and ready to conquer the next school year.

Hi. How ya doin? I'm doing alright...

Just kidding! I'm doing awesome! We made kaleidoscopes today. We're here getting started by picking out the colors we want inside the tube.

Here, follow along with us. First thing, get yourself beads, a tube and wax paper.

Ok. See those beads? Put em in the tubes. These guys have the right idea.

The triangle of reflective powers, the secret of the kaleidoscope- behold!

Mr. B looks excited by the kaleidoscope he made. He told us he was even more excited to watch us use ours. In fact it we were so excited that we...

... struck a pose!

Hope you liked this edition of The Daily Buzz. We'll be back soon with more updates about what is going on at the Learning Bee.

See you soon!

Hey! Look what we found: basketball camp!

Today we started by lining up. It was hot, but Our teachers told us to warm up and get ready to play.

Well, Ms. Toughstuff runs the show but she has some help from her 3 enthusiastic volunteers.

Time to get to work!

Whew, there we go. We did drills to improve our speed and coordination. It was a little exhausting but all the teachers worked hard and sweated as much as us.

Add ImageCheck out the Minnie Mouse Hat. Pretty stylish, I think. And perfect for the weather. We lined up in a biiiiiiig loop and took turns practicing our bounce passes. We learned a lot of different passes, though.

We also practiced arm passes and catches. It took a long time to get the hang of learning all these new tricks.

Whew! What a workout. We learned a whole bunch of important techniques and we're going to put our skills to the test in a game. Keep your antenna tuned to The Daily Buzz for all your Learning Bee Summer updates!
